History
In the Beginning...
I first began to learn basic HTML in college but it wasn't until I graduated that I really began to appreciate it. I had just gotten married and become a full-time housewife when I decided I needed an outlet. A way to get away from housework and the daycare I was running. I started out pretty typical. First with a myspace page and then with a Xanga blog. I really got into trying to design my own layouts and make my own graphics. I did some research got Adobe Photoshop and went to work. I never really utilized tutorials at first, I learned by trial and error. My knowledge of photoshop grew and my graphics slowly got better and better. Once I had conquered some networking/community sites I set out to create a site all my own.
Age of the Free...
My first site was a fan site devoted to my favorite soap. It was called GH Fantasized. It was a free site I started at freewebs. I worked on the site a couple times a week adding new content and constant show updates until I got sick of it and wanted a change. Then I started another site there devoted to myspace contact tables and backgrounds. I had that site for a while and decided I didn't want to be tied down to just offering myspace content. So I shut it down in pursuit of something more suited to my ever changing tastes! My next site was a graphics site called Cutie Pie. It was a free site hosted through my local ISP. There I offered doll graphics and blinkies in a variety of catergories. I loved that site so much! I gave it my all working on it almost everyday until it was mysteriously shut down. I suppose maybe it was too large or I had too much traffic. Either way I decided it was time to move on from the free sites. I had seen alot of blog sites that also offered content and I really enjoyed them. I figured it would be the perfect kind of site for me. I would be able to continue making graphics and layouts and blog in between so that I don't burn out on one particular thing. So I thought about it and voila, Sweet Intrigue was born.
the Great Beyond...
sweet-intrigue.com is the predecessor to this site. It started out as my personal blog and eventually accumulated so many graphics that I decided to make it strictly a site devoted to graphics, layouts, and such. As of today, I own 5 sites under 3 domains. Pluggable a plugboards site, and Intrigued, a banner rotation are subdomains on sweet-intrigue. All are maintained day to day by staff as well as myself. Lostmemoirs.com is my collective. It is used to house all my owned and joined fanlistings. Eventually I plan to offer hosting to other fanlisting owners there as well. Which brings me to today and LethalPink. This site is basically the same old blog from sweet-intrigue with brand new resources and less graphics. For now I will leave the graphics where they are and concentrate on offering more web resources and tutorials on this site. I plan to keep this site for a long while, or at least until I get sick of it!
