You Belong With Me by Taylor SwiftPeople are hilarious. Today is the first time in like 4 days that the temps here have been above 0 fahrenheit, I know that the entire U.S. has been really cold lately, so crazy. I believe it’s actually like 20 degrees today and almost everyone I’ve talked to has commented how warm it is today because it’s actually sunny. 20 is not warm, it’s just better than 10 below. It’s funny how a little warm up can totally change a person’s attitude and perspective. Sometimes I find it strange, the way we are as humans. Anyway, we’re finally dug out of all the snow we got here at the end of last week. I believe we got something like 7.5 inches between Wednesday and Friday. Plus it was windy, the gusts got up to like 50 mph so there was low visibility and drifting, all of which really sucked. We we’re pretty much snowed in Thursday, and my hubby didn’t go to work Thursday or Friday, which would’ve been fine if we had internet access or TV or something to do besides staring at each other.
Oh yeah the cable company, this is a whole other story to tell.
In other life news, the gum area where I had the tooth pulled is finally beginning to heal. I’m off the pain meds, and it’s not inflamed anymore, which is great. I’m excited for it to completely heal because it was the tooth directly to the right of my front teeth so I have a huge gap there that doesn’t look cute. Anyway I have to wait for it to completely heal so I can get a post put in surgically to hold the prosthetic one. I’ve also been wearing a night guard to prevent my nighttime grinding from breaking another one of my teeth. Today I woke up and there was a huge whole where I apparently ground right threw the guard. Great so now I’ve got to buy a new one. I don’t even know where this teeth grinding thing came from. My hubby says I have always done it, at least since he started sharing a bed with me, but I’ve started doing it a lot more the last 6 months. The dentist said I could be doing it more because of nerves or stress, but I just think it’s odd, I didn’t even know I did it until I broke the tooth. Hopefully my nerves or stress will subside so I can keep the rest of my teeth. I either have weak teeth or I am like a champion tooth grinder, because I imagine I had to be doing it really hard for it to just snap like it did. Well, now that I’ve bored the masses and ranted about the evil customer service machine, I think I’ll go do something productive. Big Love

3 by Britney SpearsWow I can’t even believe another year has come and gone! I just barely feel like it started. The last couple weeks of 2009 have been trying for me to say the least. First I was all pissed because of my database crashing and all that crappy stuff which of course I wrote about and eventually got over. Then the Saturday before Christmas I woke up to a loud crunch and excruciating pain only to discover that I had completely fractured one of my front teeth. I mean it was basically cracked all the way around in the middle of the tooth. So I spent the whole weekend trying not to break it completely off. Then my dentist was on holiday break so I had to call the emergency number and get a quick appointment on Monday. So long story short I had to get the tooth pulled because there was no other option and the nerve endings were exposed. So my whole holiday has been mostly about sleeping and trying to heal. No holiday dinners or sweet christmas treats for me. I basically ate mashed potatoes, pudding, and jello all week. Then it got inflamed and infected so I have had a round of antibiotics and I just started my second round earlier this week. Plus I’ve been on Vicodin and just in sort of a daze. So yeah, that’s how my holidays have gone thus far. And now it’s New Year’s Eve and plans I originally had to go to a party have been canned. I can’t drink alcohol with the Vicodin plus I’m not really feeling up to partying anyway. I guess that’s life, or well my life anyway. Thankfully the infection is going away and the pain has gone from like a 9 to like a 4, which is promising. Anyway enough of my whining. I hope you all had a good Christmas or whatever it is you may celebrate. I’ll leave you with this awesome clip. It’s a mash up done by DJ Earworm of the top 25 Billboard hits of 2009 called Blame It on the Pop. If you’re a music lover like I am you’ll definitely enjoy it. Happy 2010 everyone I hope you have a great New Year! Big Love
